Although more an art piece than a fully functioning and autonomous robot of death, the Kuratas mega robot stands 13 feet tall, weighs 4.9 tons, and can fire 6000 ball-bearing pellets per minute. The Kuratas offers a touch screen interface inside the cockpit and its limited movements can be controlled using a smartphone and Microsoft Kinect sensor. As cool as this is, I can certainly wait a few more decades long after I’m dead before seeing one of these hulking beasts of doom malfunction in a town near me.
