Beware, Big AI is learning

Facebook recently hired Yann LeCun, an artificial intelligence expert from New York University, to develop and refine programs capable of “deep learning”, a form of computer AI that mimics the inductive learning process of the human brain.  The purpose of LeCun’s work is to help Facebook upgrade the programs it uses to identify, analyze, and evaluate the content of our posts, images and social media behavior. With 350 million photo uploads daily and over 250 billion existing photos on its site, FB is heavily invested in finding newer ways to target, sift through and learn from the data its users post. So beware, Big AI is learning.
