Pioneering steampunk designer Richard R. Nagy dies

Steampunk pioneer and inventor Richard “Datamancer” Nagy died tragically from an apparent car accident in California on November 26, 2013. Known for his generosity and creative spirit, Nagy believed in taking the banal, sleek look of modern computer parts and recreating them to reflect an old world aesthetic of chrome, wood, and ornate carvings. He was a unique artist who provided users an experience with technology that included the beauty and craftsmanship of early 20th century design.
