The x-ray art of Arie van’t Riet

Arie van’t Riet is a medical physicist who received his PhD from Utrecht University. With a background in radiation physics, Riet has seen the evolution of x-ray technology and the image quality it is capable of producing today. After a series of fortuitous chance meetings and epiphanies, Riet discovered a passion for art, prompting him to apply his knowledge of x-ray technology to create a new genre of x-ray art. Having taken x-rays of everything from insects, birds, and tulips to snails, lizards, and monkeys, Riet is quickly gaining respect and an audience for his ability to use art and his scientific know-how to uncover the hidden beauties of nature.
