How our muscles will someday control all of our electronics

Based in Canada, Thalmic Labs is working on releasing the world’s first wearable technology, called the Myo, that allows users to control computers, digital devices, and other electronics wirelessly over Bluetooth.

The Myo is a stretchable, one-size-fits-all armband that can detect and interpret the electrical activity taking place inside our muscles to control electronic devices.

The promotional video released by Thalmic Labs demonstrates how a range of specific gestures can be programmed to control devices as complex as drones and larger machinery.

The company is actively seeking developers to help them expand the gesture-controlled capability of their product.
