Man converts a Boeing 727 into a home

0

Retired engineer Bruce Campbell purchased a decommissioned Boeing 727 for $220,000 and turned it into a home in the Oregon woods just outside Portland.¬†Although Campbell’s new home does not have all the conveniences of a traditional urban or suburban dwelling, through hard work and patience he has managed to tailor his unique home to have water, electricity, and a kitchen.

Campbell is inspired by the desire and need to promote sustainable living, and accomplished his goal in part with help from the Aircraft Fleet Recycling Association (AFRA), an organization that specializes in properly disposing and recycling various air-crafts. And not to be outdone, Campbell already has plans to build another home out of a Boeing 747 in Japan.
