Florida based Robotics Unlimited is a cutting-edge research and development firm specializing in robotics. They’ve also developed the world’s first remotely controlled running robot, called the OutRunner, that uses kinetic energy (only one leg at a time touches the ground) to achieve a top speed of 20 mph with up to 2 hours of battery life. The OutRunner can run on almost any terrain and is self-stabilizing and upgradable.

As of June 1, 2014, Robotics Unlimited has six days left to raise their target fundraising goal of $150,000 on Kickstarter
