Custom Playstation 4 auctioned for Pride Week

This week may mean nothing to some people, but over in Sweden it’s Stockholm Pride Week, one of the biggest pride festivals in the world. In conjunction with this event, retailer Webhallen is auctioning off a colorful, custom Playstation 4. Webhallen has dubbed the console the “Gaystation Edition,” and stated that their intent with the auction is to make people of all walks of life feel welcomed into the wonderful world of gaming. They topped this off with the hashtag #ThisIsForTheGaymers and encourage others to include this in their tweets in order to raise awareness.

The current bid for the $400 gaming system is currently 19,200 Swedish Krona, which equates to $2,799 US dollars. All proceeds from the auction will go to support the Swedish Federation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Rights (otherwise known as RFSL). The auction will end alongside Sweden’s pride week on August 3rd. Happy Bidding!
