After enduring countless copy cat Star Wars: Episode VII trailers and the crappiness of Episodes I, II and III, it looks like we finally get to geek out and get all excited about the film franchise again. Some of the original crew are on-board for the upcoming sequels, including screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan. And mercifully, Director J.J. Abrams has heroically taken on the task of revitalizing Star Wars with the kind of starry-eyed, timeless splendor the series won our hearts with originally. Indeed, after watching the Episode VII trailer their influence is immediately obvious. The new movie appears to have the same feel and style of the originals we all know and love. Of course, adding to the nerd-gasm is the fact some of the main characters from the original cast will return, including Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher. The indispensable and inimitable actors who voiced Chewbacca, C3PO and R2D2 are also part of the mix too. We can’t wait.
Much to our dismay, the film isn’t scheduled for release until December 2015.
